Breathe Deep, Heal Within: Transformative Therapy Through Breathwork

Hi, I’m Kimberly!

Hello Friends! I’m Kimberly, a licensed Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist, Integrative Trauma Professional, and the coach behind NeuroSomatic Therapies. I live in the beautiful mountains of Southern California and have a deep appreciation for nature and its healing and grounding power. I am grateful to be able to support my local communities, as well as virtually support people from across the world.

Since 2012 I have worked with people in different capacities as a therapist and coach, helping people afflicted with anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional release. My professional healing path has allowed me to help many people ranging in age, background, ethnicity, and socioeconomic status; but the one thing they all had in common was that they all trusted me to be a part of their self-discovery and healing journey. By offering them a safe space to be their authentic self, people have been able to deeply connect with themselves to cultivate more joy, meaning, and inner peace in their lives. Personally and professionally I have learned that our physical bodies can hold and carry trapped emotions and trauma, and can often stay trapped for many years without knowing, guidance, and practice releasing them.

Finding Balance & Peace

Breathwork therapy is a profoundly important practice for holistic well-being, tapping into the innate power of our breath to promote physical, mental, and emotional health. Through intentional breathing techniques and mindful awareness, breathwork offers a gateway to deep relaxation, stress reduction, and emotional release. By cultivating a conscious connection with our breath, we can unlock profound healing potential, addressing issues such as anxiety, trauma, and chronic pain. Breathwork empowers individuals to access inner peace, enhance focus, and cultivate resilience in the face of life’s challenges. This transformative practice serves as a vital tool for self-discovery, promoting balance and vitality in every aspect of our lives.

The Benefits of Breathwork

Who is it for?

Breathwork can be beneficial for a wide range of individuals across various backgrounds and circumstances. It is particularly helpful for:

  • Individuals experiencing stress or anxiety
  • Trauma survivors seeking healing
  • Those with depression or mood disorders
  • People dealing with chronic pain
  • Anyone interested in personal growth and self-discovery
  • Individuals seeking relaxation and mindfulness

How does breathwork help?

Stress reduction: Breathwork techniques can activate the body’s relaxation response, helping to alleviate stress and promote a sense of calmness.

Improved mental clarity: Deep breathing can enhance oxygen flow to the brain, boosting cognitive function and improving focus and clarity.

Emotional release: Breathwork allows individuals to access and release stored emotions, promoting emotional well-being and catharsis.

Enhanced self-awareness: By bringing attention to the breath, individuals can deepen their connection to their inner selves, fostering self-awareness and personal growth.

Increased energy levels: Deep, rhythmic breathing can boost energy levels, invigorating the body and promoting vitality.

Better sleep: Practicing breathwork before bedtime can help calm the mind and body, promoting deeper relaxation and better sleep quality.

The Benefits of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Trauma resolution: EMDR therapy is highly effective in processing traumatic memories, allowing individuals to desensitize and reprocess distressing experiences.

Rapid symptom relief: EMDR therapy often leads to significant reductions in symptoms associated with trauma, such as anxiety, depression, and intrusive thoughts, in a relatively short period.

Improved emotional regulation: Through the processing of traumatic memories, EMDR therapy helps individuals develop healthier coping mechanisms and greater emotional resilience.

Enhanced self-esteem: EMDR therapy can help individuals reframe negative beliefs about themselves that stem from traumatic experiences, leading to improved self-esteem and self-confidence.

Accelerated healing: EMDR therapy facilitates the brain’s natural healing processes, allowing individuals to move through trauma and its associated symptoms more quickly than traditional talk therapy alone.

Reduction of avoidance behaviors: EMDR therapy helps individuals confront and process traumatic memories, reducing the need to avoid triggers or situations associated with past trauma.
